Doesn’t matter how uncool they look, or if no one else is wearing one, always wear a personal floatation device! It’s too easy to get bogged down in water filled clothes, or simply surprised by falling overboard.
There’s also the risk of hitting your head on the way down. You can’t swim when you’re unconscious.
