You’re older than you’ve ever been and now you’re even older. Now you’re even older. Now you’re even older. You’re older than you’ve ever been and now you’re even older. And now you’re older still.
Stop it, you’re killing me!

This was the first version of the song I ever saw / heard and, while it may not be official, it sure is in my head.
Time
Is marching on
And time
Is still marching on
And the youngest you’ll ever be again.
And if you live even just a little right - a bit wiser every day.
Saw Simple Plan recently. Looking around the crowd while we sang I’m Just a Kid… yeah
I know that it’s not fair
It kinda makes you wonder, why does running from being old feel like it has the hidden expectation of deserving more, of achieving things? Why do we have to have things organized in a way that requires people to be deprived the essentials and the opportunity to achieve something?
Life is a top cause of aging.
In fact, you’re older than you’ve ever been…
True, but I’m also younger than I’ll ever be again!
