I feel like we already know quite well that anticipating fun is enriching(yes I know scientific confirmation is important). What we struggle with is the opposite problem where we’re working more for less and not only don’t have a lot to anticipate but we’re constantly denied things we were promised and buying many things has become a spending event to be feared.

Anticipation is awesome but we’re driving our rat cars in circles wondering why the fruit loop is getting further away.
