I have not heard of this game but just checked it out. So this is a cooperative city (maybe village) builder based on a video game? Feels like many posts were leading up to this game. It even won Spiel des Jahres 2023, quite impressive for a game based on a videogame.
Do you play it solo or with others?
Played it all solo, I think of it as a cooperative Cascadia.
It will likely win the SDJ over Next Station London (Fun facts seems like a long shot).
The advantage to multiplayer is there is no real object of the game so imagine quarterbacking is less frequent than a coop game with a goal.
They made it into a board game? Is it literally just the video game in physical format? Or is there a twist?
It’s mostly completing 4, 5, and 6 tile quests, and there is not object permanence say, you just fill out dots based on your score and when you reach a point you open a box and add more tiles with more rules.
