4.5W vs 0.3W
Yea, that’s what people have been trying to say for years, usb-c is just simply better. Good thing apple was finally forced to go to it and stop wasting the planet’s resources on the lightning cable
That sweet sweet certification fee kept them addicted to lightning.
Fwiw, sticking with Lightning for so long made all the sense in the world from a business perspective.
Why would they willingly let go all the money they received from the MFi fees?
To be fair, the output power of the phone has nothing to do with the plug (at least not the dimensions we are talking about here)
Is that a spec of 4.5W anywhere? Just checked and the max my Pixel 7 Pro will push to my laptop is 4.5w too
I pre-ordered mine. Mainly because I have a 12 and looks like the last year I can get full trade in value 😩
Same. Preordered the Pro Max from my 12 Pro, but not trading in since I’m getting my Max on my work account which is a nice discount on the device. I’ll sell the 12 later and probably wind up paying 350 for the new phone.
Dammit, I knew it was a mistake to buy the 20w charger. Admittedly that’s already more than I need since I usually charge overnight, but if I have to buy yet another charging block,I want it to have the most potential, the most future
I’ve got a 30w charger and, TBH I think 20 is gonna be plenty. The faster you charge your phone, the worse your battery longevity in the long run will be.
It is about OUTPUT power. So if you charge another phone from your iPhone for example.
