Supporting macOS with any sort of complex codebase is trickier than it sounds, due to the necessity to use Metal, the notarization requirements, and various quirks in cross-compile toolchains.
Darwin != Linux
The engine supports Vulcan and DX11+. Mac doesn’t, natively at least. It would take a lot of effort to support it and according to their data the userbase isn’t there to justify that.
