Seems like every major social media company had a bet on who can implement the worst idea possible.

i like lemmy’s comment sections. it’s like a 4chan or (now) twitter cesspool, but instead of weird nazi shit it’s just a cesspool of reasonable opinions.

Anytime I go to the comments I just scroll to the bottom to get to actual comments and not the forced blue checkmark opinions. It should be illegal for me to exposed to the opinion of someone who pays for twitter

Isn’t it possible to sort comments on Twitter? I don’t use Twitter myself. Long story short: made an account back in 2017-2018, tried it out and i didn’t like it, so I deleted the account. Right now it seems I made a good choice lol.

Don’t believe so, and especially not now. One of the selling points of Twitter blue is to have your comments shoved in everyone’s faces, even if it’s the most braindead racist homophobic shit you’ve ever read.

Amazing! Truly a work of art made into fact. Never seen a better decision. Now everyone can be harassed in peace. 🎊 Best tolerance advocate elon musk

With Musk involved, one could say it’s a work of art made into fart.

Ya know, when he announces this people should be replying with the poop emoji.

Where’s the screenshot of that Musk tweet going “Why do we even have a block feature” quickly followed by someone going “calling it now: The block feature is going to be killed in a week or two.”
