I would love if someone knowledgeable in sculpture can clarify the flaws in the marble.

The article mentions mediocre quality and says it was confirmed by modern analysis but doesn’t get into what differentiates good quality marble from a bad one.

Also a little known fact about the David statue is that it’s over 5 meters tall! (That’s over 16 feet for the metrically challenged, or about 3 times taller than the average person)
