London police have posted to social media that Riverside Drive is closed to all traffic between Beaverbrook Avenue and Upper Avenue.

People act like Riverside is this super dangerous street because there’s always accidents/fatalities on it. What people don’t really appreciate is how many drivers on London roads are drunk at any given time. Also, Riverside is basically one long straight race track with one 90 degree turn. Drunks love driving on Riverside.

Truth is, you could add traffic calming measures, but the city does sometimes just randomly remove its own infrastructure because we love wasting money.
