Anything to try to boost membership amid dismal numbers in organized religion
United Methodists have always been a very liberal and progressive church. This isn’t a gimmick or boost for the masses but bringing their teachings in line with their sayings.
The adage if youre looking to split hairs and divide your Methodists is the united Methodists were always more free and the free Methodists more united.
Its a broad tent, most of which didn’t directly mean evangelical when I grew up, but there’s still free Methodists that don’t believe in dancing.
Openly serving gay and lesbian clergy was the hot gossip 20 years ago, it’s been a slow move but they got there.

Hey obvious troll, out of curiosity, are you getting paid by some idiot that thinks this will influence opinions? If so, is it actually supposed to convince people to support Trump or is this more of a classic Russian troll farm thing that’s about polarizing people?

Just a troll with a 3 hour old account hitting all the politics and news posts with inflammatory comments ending in #TrumpNation. In this case it was just saying this was a travesty.
