Zathras@lemmy.zipto Books@lemmy.world•What book(s) are you currently reading or listening to? August 194·9 days agoThis is the correct answer. Currently relistening to the audiobook series; book 4 atm. Enjoy your adventure. This is the one series that I would want to experience fresh again if possible.
Zathras@lemmy.zipto Gaming@beehaw.org•Weekly “What are you playing” Thread || Week of August 17th1·11 days agoRound 10±ish of Balder’s Gate 3. It is one of the only co-op/multiplayer games my husband enjoys, so we are always playing different characters, builds, alignments, story choices, routes. Started using some mods a few plays ago and it has brought some extra flair back into the game. Luckily we don’t play but once every other weekend so I don’t get burned out.
Alternate weekends/days I am still working my way through Clair Obscure Expedition 33. Really enjoying the storyline and music. Gameplay itself isn’t my favorite, but I like trying out new characters, builds, skills, combos as I work my way through exploring round one of this game. I am sure there will be at least one replay as I know there are things I have missed. I am not a true completionist, but I try to appreciate everything that has been built for the players to experience (unless it is truly not worth my time).

I’m crushing your head.
I like to play each run trying to romance a different character just to see all the different story arcs. There is actually an achievement for romancing Karlach (working on this one in my current game). There are a few unexpected ones as well… Enjoy!
Zathras@lemmy.zipto Backyard Chickens (and Other Birds)@lemmy.ca•I thought 85g was Big, now she hit 100g2·20 days agoI have 2 small mutts that we exposed the girls to since they were chicks. One pretty much ignores them, the other thought she was a chickie mama when they were little. They are completely chill around both of the dogs but wasn’t hesitant to peck at our cousin dog upon his sniffing around the pen.
I have reinforced regular handling/petting of them since they were little and they are very comfortable whenever we need to pick them up. I have only cared for RIRs and am spoiled to the fact that I want to stick with just that breed due to their egg production and temperment.
It always brings me joy just hanging out with the ladies. Love to spoil them with fresh fruits and vegetables along with their other regular grub treats.

Zathras@lemmy.zipto Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Mattel introduces its first Barbie with Type 1 diabetesEnglish32·2 months agoFrom the article:
The new Barbie wears continuous glucose monitor (CGM), a device that tracks blood sugar levels, on her arm — while holding a phone displaying an accompanying app. She also has an insulin pump attached to her waist. And the doll carries a blue purse that can be used to carry other essential supplies or snacks on the go.
The Barbie’s outfit is blue, too — with polka dots on a matching top and skirt set. Mattel says that this color and design are nods to symbols for diabetes awareness.

Shut up baby, I know it!
Naw, this is art!!!
Last night, broke him out of jail. One of the goblins threw grease on the floor in the prison. Big ol bear was too afraid to cross over and help with the rest of the mobs. Hell…he could have taken the stairs around. Nope just waited for my party to do the heavy lifting.
Next, I asked him to join us in the fight with the rest of the goblins. He maybe had 1-2 good hits but was mostly useless.
Once combat ended after we got the 2 big ones down, he peaces out without helping finish the rest of them.
If it weren’t for advancing the story in act 2, I’d leave his ass in there. (I know it is not mandatory, but I like the XP).
