It’s fancy text completion - it does not have judgement.
The way he talks about it shows he still doesn’t understand that. It doesn’t matter that you tell it simmering in ALL CAPS because that is no different from any other text.

What purpose could that possibly have after confirming you’re an adult? Checking whether you’re becoming a minor again?

If a majority of people click on the same things, that is assumed to be the correct answer. And it is added to the training database. Occasionally you’ll get one that hasn’t been shown to enough people yet to know for sure. For those, they’ll usually accept any answer, even wildly incorrect ones. The thing is, you as a user never know which ones they already know and which they don’t.

In the first Trump term he was in the news a lot, pointing out this out that idiotic thing he said. Now it’s a lot less, just occasionally pointing out how he’s changed his stance on these tariffs or that war once again.
When meetings are held between people from half a dozen countries spread over three continents, none of whom are speaking their native language and all using uncommon product and project names, then AI summaries are occasionally hilarious and nearly always wildly incorrect.
You must mean it will still be normal in 2010, which is the far future when we’ll have colonised Mars and use our flying cars to go home to our floating home in the clouds.
would be nice to see where you have exploded,
I don’t think it would be nice to see where people exploded, to be honest.
Is that what happens in network congestion: a 1 bit gets in the wire sideways and takes a while to dislodge?

zerofk@lemmy.zipto Programming@programming.dev•comment style that tells text editors to fold sections of text3·21 days agoI actually think the argument for mixing tabs and spaces makes a lot of sense. Use tabs for indentation, coupled with spaces for alignment (e.g. of function arguments). It eliminates the downsides of using tabs resp. spaces exclusively. But since nobody uses it, I never have either. Following the style of the project at hand is the way.
It sounds like a way to pressure the politicians who won’t let them have unbridled freedom to exploit people on their platforms. I hope it won’t work.
