I don’t know about that… I don’t feel strong. I procrastinate me getting an appointment for psychotherapy. Which is needed for transitioning medical and legally.

    • i can only imagine realizing you are trans and wading through the swaths of denial and coming to accept yourself requires apt mental fortitude. you made it this far even if you don’t know how; that’s got to be worth something

It’s certainly worth something but compared to the way ahead of me and me being frightened about it, it seems like not much :(

If you have anyone, ask them to help you. Do it together.

There’s also online options if you feel safer with that.

      • This!

I can’t remember at the moment, but I’ve totally seen organizations that have members that will guide and accompany you to do all the paperwork and appointments you need to do to fully transition. I wish I could remember right now 😖

Even applicable in Germany? That would be truly a godsend.

          • I finally found it and it looks like it’s a local organization, and doesn’t appear to be a chapter of a larger organization. I would recommend looking for any compiled resource guides for your area.

As detectivesniffles said above, just reaching this point you have, is something very difficult, worth being proud of.

It sounds a bit cheesy, but there’s this lyric from The Old Witch Sleep and the Good Man Grace that I love:

"You’re not a coward 'cause you cower

You’re brave because they broke you

      Yet broken still you breathe

      So breathe, breathe just breathe"

And I think that that is real. Just breathe. You’re doing fine. You’ve been brave.

You like superman if he’d been exposed to kryptonite his whole life. Sure, the net effect isn’t very strong, but your raw strength is at least as strong as your kryptonite.
