All these companies want to be the next Uber, but Uber itself has never been profitable, so how you expect a worse business model to do better financially is beyond me.

I never thought it was a valid business model for a variety of reasons. All these companies want to be the next Uber, but Uber itself has never been profitable, so how you expect a worse business model to do better financially is beyond me.
Honestly, I think there’s a market for “local evening store with bike delivery guy”.
There’s no market for that, but from an expensive city center location with a dot com taking 20% off the top.
