It’s sadly more boring than that. Not lizard people, just sociopaths.

I was trying to find a word for a government ruled by sociopaths but I guess “fascism” fits fine.

With how well the “every accusation is a confession” adage seems to hold up, I’m pretty darned sure that lizard people are real at this point.

I just want to say that the most disturbing part of this is not that she did this. It’s that this is the message and image that she has carefully decided will help her achieve her career and personal goals.

Perhaps what could be worse is if she’s right.

I don’t think she is. I see a lot of signs of the left failing in ways that make me nervous. but recognition of the senselessness of imperialism is not one of these. I think there is a very strong, clear, growing consensus that our foreign policy is terrible. Many people don’t care that it’s terrible for people in other countries, only that it’s terrible for them, but that’s still a win.

I don’t love the concept of “isolationism” per se, but between that in empire, I’ll choose isolationism every time. I know there is a liberal establishment that finds isolationism more shocking that defunding the police, and I’m glad that they’re upset. This whole global domination thing that Haley and Biden and Lindsay Graham and Mitch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi and Hilary Clinton are obsessed with is just fucking terrible.

God, I will freely admit: it can get so much worse than Biden.

I just want to say that the most disturbing part of this is supporting Genocide. The reasons why any individual would support a Genocide don’t really matter, it’s not a justifiable position anyways. But the act of supporting it, totally does matter and that’s the problem.

Erasing words because there is the potential for damaging feelings isnt the way to go.

I agree re sexism, etc., but I don’t think we should rewrite books or words. Let people know what they mean, and then explain why it’s bad.

For ex. Re-publishing Enid Blyton or Mark Twains works with certain words that are racist removed or edited. I don’t think that should be done. Let people learn how they were used and why they are wrong.

Or pulling down statues of Confederate leaders because they were racist and fought to have slaves. Don’t do that. Keep the statues up. Add a plaque or a message stating why they were assholes. Don’t erase history. Don’t rewrite it. Just make sure people have the knowledge.

“What America needs to understand is if Israel’s fighting our enemies, how can we not help them,” said Haley, whose missile message also carried the words “America loves Israel”.

      if Israel’s fighting our enemies

As far as I know, Hamas has never attacked the U.S. They are not America’s enemies. They are terrorists, they are not to be praised or lauded, but they are not America’s enemies.

It’s certainly not a defense for killing innocent Palestinians.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Nikki Haley, the failed Republican presidential nominee, signed Israeli artillery shells with the inscription “Finish Them!” on a Memorial Day visit to Israel.

The former South Carolina governor’s graphic display of support came on a trip to Israel’s northern border with Lebanon, where she was accompanied by Danny Danon, a former Israeli ambassador to the United Nations and a noted hawkish member of Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party in the Knesset.

Talking to reporters, Haley was unapologetic, criticising Joe Biden’s administration for temporarily withholding weapons as a means of discouraging an Israeli attack on the southern Gaza city of Rafah, and aiming barbs at the international criminal court (ICC) – which is seeking Netanyahu’s arrest – and the international court of justice (ICJ), which is considering charges of genocide against Israel.

Haley, like Danon a former ambassador to the UN, last week said she would vote for Trump in November’s presidential election, despite having previously denounced him as “dangerous” and unfit to serve.

Danon proudly recorded Haley’s show of support, which also included a trip to southern Israel to meet survivors of Hamas’s 7 October attack in which about 1,200 people were killed and another 253 were taken hostage, on his X account.

According to one Israeli peace activist, Alon-Lee Green, Haley also visited settlements in the West Bank, which are not recognised under international law.

The original article contains 402 words, the summary contains 225 words. Saved 44%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

This is going to be unpopular, and I will accept the down votes. Also, I will never support Trump or any of his lackies. However, those on this forum believe that she is writing that as “finish them” towards the Palestinians, when in actuality I bet she’s writing that as “finish them” towards hamas. That doesn’t excuse anything. Just stating that they believe they are killing terrorists. They are just ignoring the innocent. Good intentions don’t justify this though let me make that very clear.

I have no interest in downvoting you, but I would like to say that on priors, I would be surprised to learn that she saw “Hamas” and “Palestinians” as anything other than a distinction without a difference. She’s electively of a set with Lindsey “Nuke Gaza” Graham, and she’s voting for Trump apparently now, who has been very vocal about his support for the “kill them all” perspective.

Do you have specific evidence that leads you to believe otherwise, or is it more of a charity in humanity thing?

Nikki plainly said word by word “Palestinians came, robbed, and killed Israelis.”

      https://youtu.be/kNUlW8Kn60I

She recieved over a million dollar from AIPAC during last year alone and has been Israeli’s right-wing puppet for over a decade. She also previously supported and made numerous genocidal statements including nuking Gaza.

      https://youtu.be/zm9_JWoiUZc

Do you know who has the highest percent of immegrants in the whole world? Palestinians. Go look it up.

Israel before Oct-7 is an apartied state. They are land colonizers occupying, starving and continuely bombing and killing Palestinian people.

How can you pretend that was the best democracy in the middle east and most moral army when the treatment, evictions, land stealing, long and unjustified random imprisonmemt without charge, killings, and oppression the Palestinians were living, before Oct-7, was worse than living in the worst oppressive dictatorships of the middleeast? More than 90% of Israel prisoners are Palestinians. An Israeli can just kill any Palesinian kid and wouldn’t get a week in jail. Go look up the 100000 of times that happened before Oct-7.

How do you pretend the way Israel was besieging Gaza and continuely “mowing the lawn” was acceptable? Palestinians have the right to just fucking live like Israelis. Is this statement unreasonable for you? If not, then they have the right to free themselves, and the whole western world must stop the hypocracy and pretend it’s acceptable for Israel to exist the way it is. They muat sanction and isolate Israel’s government like they did to Russia until it gets it act together and just be a normal country that does not colonize and kill people from different race or religion.

Unbelievable that you can see all this carnage, deliberate use of non surgical engagement, calling Palestinians animals, calling leveling entire population centers “mowing the lawn”, and think they are fighting Hamas.

They know exactly what they’re doing, they’ll tell you themselves even.

I would argue that someone who writes “finish them” on weapons of war has absolutely no ability to comprehend nuances like the ones you described. That or she wants to be likened to people who lack that ability. Anyway, it’s equally abysmal and she doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt you are trying to give her.

It would be of no surprise to me if Netanyahu orchestrated Hamas’ attack.
