1 point for the episode/main plot. 1 point for the joke/scene.

Also points are made up and don’t matter

Question. As a Simpsons fan who still wears an onion on his belt (because it will never go out of style), should I see the movie? I thought they jumped the shark well before then and said meh when it came out.

So, is it funny? Or it’s still funny, but not ‘haha’ funny.

Greetings from the happiest place on earth, Tijuana.

I enjoy The Simpsons movie far more than the seasons of The Simpsons coming out at the time, but it is still not as good as the first 9 seasons. I enjoyed it well enough, despite its flaws, so I recommend it.

Nothing will ever compare to golden years of the Simpsons, the exact seasons of which vary from person to person, but probably top out around season 13 or so at the latest.

The seasons after that have good episodes, and they have not so good episodes, but even the not so good episodes have good moments.

For the movie they definitely put in the extra time and effort to make a great Simpsons movie. Is it going to be the same as the golden years, no, is it still going to be great, I think so.

I think it’s worthwhile to see it. It does have a lot of good moments and references to earlier episodes that definitely felt like the writers had fans of the show in mind. However, it does feature jerkass Homer, so that is a big point against it. Overall the positives outweigh the negatives.

“Hey boss, I think that might’ve been a dead body”

“That’s what I thought too, up until he said ‘lawn trimmings’. Gotta learn to listen Lou.”
