After knowing That Vegan Teacher making that video of the baby making a comparison of putting a sauce on a penis and having the baby lick it. I’m not joking that’s the comparison she came to with a baby licking barbecue sauce on a rib she compared it to something pretty awful. My one question being if baby food like dog or cat food ever contains meat.

It’s really tough to push past and ignore that first part to get to answering your question. Like, that elephant taking up the whole room and trumpeting

1: what the actual fuck did I just read?!

2: yes, babies can eat cooked meat no problem, and commercial baby food often contains it.

Yes, sure it can. Mashed/blended spaghetti bolognese or lasagna are available as baby food.

Baby food products are basically just ordinary food blended and packed in smaller convenient portions. Simply look at the package to see what it contains.

Cat and dog foods are completely different kinds of food, which is often made from animal biproducts and not suitable for human consumption.

Dog and cat food are totally suitable for human consumption. It’s only when you eat nothing else over a long time that you will run into nutritional problems.

So it’s totally fine to chug a beer, huff some glue and eat a can of cat food to help you fall asleep; As long as you otherwise eat healthy.

Completely ignoring that fucking crazy statement from the video:

Yes, it can contain meat. But you normally start somewhere at around 5months with only single types of veggies, so you can check allergies and also it’s easier for their digestion. I think you normally do not start any meat before 8 or 9 months.

First off: Not a pediatrician. Babies do not have a fully developed immune system. As such, a number of “unrefined, natural” foods such as honey can be critical due to the heavy bacterial load (don’t worry, honey is perfectly safe for you). Cooked meat should not be an issue, I wouldn’t do raw meat tho’. In fact, my first “proper” meal was apparently beef with carrots.

Dog and cat food are based almost entirely on protein sources that also contain some fat, but often minimal in carbohydrates. That includes hearts, lungs and liver, which is not common for a baby.

Here you can buy baby food with meat and chicken for babies over 6 months old. Usually it’s not a lot of meat as it’s harder to process, but 5-10% of the product is meat.

My kids have been eating almost the same as me from when they got a few teeth, and I don’t eat dinner without a good protein.

Depends on the age of the baby. But as soon as they do eat meat they generally sleep longer. I guess meat is more filling.

Depends on how old the baby is. Babies start to eat other food than mothers milk around 5-6 months (doctor recomendations might differ). But it’s nit seasoned and I don’t think all types of meat. Certainly wouldn’t give them a seasoned/ grilled rib with bbq sauce.

Best to consult with a doctor on how to proceed in your case, but babies can eat meat, but there are conditions. Baby food with meat and without it should be available.

Depends on your definition of “baby”. It’s been a few years, so I don’t remember exactly, but some of thee pre-made meals you can buy at the store for babies have meat in them, and I believe they’re for 12months+

OK so That Vegan Teacher shouldn’t really factor into the question because nothing she says is related to reality

It can’t have true milk, so it probably can’t have meat. But I’m not a mom yet so I don’t know.
