Teams works much better in Chrome (not sure about Chromium) than with the app in my experience (you get more features like blured background as well). I have a browser plugin to open every link that is not Teams or Outlook in Firefox, so Chrome is just my Teams engine.

The setting you linked does not describe Teams settings. I know that wiki page pretty well and Teams was never addressed there which is fine, but just saying.
