I know it’s Not the same but you can hit posts at bottom left to scroll up instantly
Need the top bar tap though so it can be like Apollo and snap back down to where you were with the second tap.
The way web apps work the top bar isn’t possible. But maybe the return to location feature can be added to the tap bottom bar feature
So if you run lemmy.ml as a webapp, tapping the top of the screen to scroll to the top works.
What makes it so that it wouldn’t work for wefwef?
Also hitting the post button returns to top then the second tap goes back to the menu before it where you choose the feed or whatever and imho that should stay that way. I feel like if you made that gesture the way to snap back and forth from your position in your feed there would be no way to return to the post menu. Fuck Apollo spoiled me…
How far away are we from an actual wefwef app where that could be possible? Because I would definitely pay for it like Apollo for features like that as simple as that seems. It’s the small things. Bottom line I’m liking the things I’m seeing with this migration so far so as long as we’re having these conversations to make things better I’m content but if there is a place I can contribute to a legit effort to streamline the experience via iOS based Apollo grade app UI I need to know. I’m new to this concept of instance environment and very intrigued but not tech savvy enough to dive in fully because lazy. Give me Christian grade tools that Apollo brought to Reddit please and I would be so happy. Formatting tools at very least. Is it the same as Reddit where I can insert a link? Help!! Sorry end rant I’m drunk but tickled by good forum vibes
Edit: a letter
I didn’t realize this function, thank you!
That doesn’t work for comments
What you mean? When I’m reading comments hitting posts scrolls to the top
When I hit posts it goes to posts
It’s a better implementation for accessibility
It’s an open issue https://github.com/aeharding/wefwef/issues/92
Seems like the feature was pushed 2 days ago
I’ve been trying to replicate the behavior but haven’t had any luck and wasn’t familiar enough with git to tell where things were at.
Thanks, I’ll try additional ways to get the function to work. I did make a comment on the issue with a recommendation.
That was one feature that I didn’t like. I never once clicked it on purpose. It was a surprise every time.
My issue is that most iOS apps have that as a feature. In fact, I’m having a hard time finding one that doesn’t.
You could tap it again to go back, fyi.
Noooooooo!
