The Kbin Splatoon community is kinda quiet, do we have more Splatoon fans out there on Kbin or elsewhere? I found a good Lemmy spot too.
I played the first two Splatoon games quite a lot, but elected to skip the third, since I felt, and still feel, it’sn’t changed enough from 2 to justify itself as a same-system sequel. In spite of that, I was fairly active on the r/splatoon community on Reddit, but’ven’t’d any Splatoon interactions on the Fediverse yet. That’s probably at least partially down to me not contributing as much here as I did on Reddit, though; much of what I did on Reddit was answering questions about videogames I cared about, and most of the communities for games I care about here either don’t exist to my knowledge, or are small and subsequently have relatively little content to interact with at all, much less people posing questions about the game.
I get that. Honestly I never would’ve thought of posting something like this on Reddit but here I feel a little bit more comfortable because it seems like people are open to things without a bunch of judgment. Would love to know what you think about the first two games but also if you do have a chance to look at the third game, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.
The third game is definitely a riff on the first two but I’m also really enjoying it.
Been taking a little break but huge fan of the series. Personally Turf War and Salmon Run have been great fun. Usually jump in during splatfests :)
Are you doing the splat fest next weekend? I’m still trying to figure out what team I’m going to pick. I really do love the tricolor battles, it’s so chaotic and unique. I honestly wish turf war was more like tri color.
I play Splatoon but I usually feel out of place in Splatoon communities because I’m really really casual
But if there’s a magazine for it I would definitely joinThe communities I’m used to are usually REALLY into the lore, the memes, the meta. It can be fun to sift through but I’m not a contributor really. I would love a more casual focused space.
