Immediately following Guardians 3 and Across the Spider-Verse was probably a bad idea. Both highly lauded franchises that don’t carry the baggage of the DCEU. If you could only afford to see 2 in a 2 month period, which would you choose?

Why would anyone get excited for DC films right now knowing the whole DCEU is being rebooted? Sure the cameos seem fun, but the movie is a dead end, so what’s the point?
But I wanted to see Flashpoint … again. For the 3rd time.

Glad The Flash is struggling. Ezra is terrible and man the propaganda campaign for this movie was so annoying. I swear it was out months ago how people have been raving about it.
Agreed. Dude broke into a home and stole alcohol from a family in Vermont. Not interested in anything with this guy in it.
I don’t know if that’s a controversial opinion and I know DC doesn’t usually mix the tv show universes and the cinematic universe, but I really wish they would’ve cast Melissa Benoist as Supergirl. She’s just so charismatic that I just cannot see anyone else playing the role…
Agreed. I want to see Supergirl and Michael Keaton’s Batman, but I refuse to buy a ticket because of Ezra. I’ll wait for it on Max.
I know someone who posts a lot of movies on their plex, supposedly legit as they allegedly work in the industry, and I doubt I’ll even watch it there. Ewww Ezra Miller.
Yeah this is a good choice. They did not give enough screen time to “supergirl”.
Does she even call herself that in the movie? That’s how IMDB credits her when I looked up the cast to check, but it doesn’t sound right. I was expecting Superwoman or something.
If remember correctly she is never called super girl, but by her name (which i forgot, i am super bad at names)

I still cannot tell really what elemental is about. Watching the trailers and hearing the synopsis, it just sounds really bland and directionless. Anyone here watched it yet? Thoughts?
I haven’t seen it yet, but I’m really interested in seeing it. From what I’ve heard, the writer/ director Peter Sohn, said that his grandma’s dying words to him were, “marry Korean”. He then falls in love with a non-Korean girl and struggles with how he can still honor his grandma. This becomes the inspiration for the movie. It seems like this is Pixar’s take on trying to address immigration and interracial relationships. Again, I haven’t seen it yet, so I’m not sure how successful they were, but I find the director himself interesting so I will give the movie a shot.

pretty sure Elemental, even if it’s a good movie, will go down as a bad swing and a miss for Pixar at this point
Yeah, not sure if writing fail or marketing fail at this point.
I’ve heard good things about elemental, so I’m not sure why people aren’t going to see it. But with the flash, there is the obvious issues with ezra miller himself and the whole superhero fatigue thing, I think people are just a bit done with the whole idea.
It’s because, and no offense to anyone who likes the movie, it looks bland. Especially when you directly compare it to all the competition that came out or will arrive within the past year. Puss in Boots, Spiderverse 2, Mario, Ninja Turtles, even the upcoming Migration all not only look more interesting visually than Elemental, but also proven to be more interesting stories than Elemental so far too.
Elemental just seems to be another Zootopia or Inside Out. Why watch that when you have the originals?

Isn’t there 2 more before the reboot? Aquaman 2 and Blue Beetle. Don’t know why they even bothered and didn’t just batgirl both those movies to get it over with.
