I reported a pothole near my house months ago and I’m still waiting for it to be fixed.

I’ve noticed a significant delay in pothole filling a few months ago where everything I reported was taking several weeks at minimum to get filled instead of a few days like normal, but I haven’t had any sitting open for multiple months – maybe sending a complaint email to the relevant alderperson (or even just a “I’d like to inquire on the state of this pothole that I reported way too long ago”) could speed things up, since an alder putting some heat on DPW probably has far more weight than us doing so directly? I’m planning on doing something similar regarding the deterioration of the trail between 6th and 37th since only a little bit gets done every time I submit a ticket about the numerous cracks, divots, and bumps in that section. :S

I talked to a city engineer in DPW, who reached out to the state DNR (who is responsible for repairing the Hank Aaron trail, unfortunately) about that terrible section.

He said they requested funding to repave the trail in the state budget… The budget just passed but I haven’t followed up again since to see if they got the funding needed. I certainly hope so, it’s getting really rough between Emmber and 25th especially.

Actually, correction: upon double-checking which Click For Action tickets I still have open, I do have a pothole from two months ago that’s not marked completed yet.
