SUSE just open-sourced a typeface :)
I doubt anyone of the SUSE team reading this but I despise the small g, ugly as fuck but the overall aesthetics of the font are pleasing. I still try it out on openSUSE since I’m on the search for a good font.
Oh god, I absolutely despise this fancy-ass g. Not just here, but also other otherwise great fonts like the Fira family.
And its always the small g and nothing else, I hate it so much. If the whole font would made like this it would be great but its not the case sadly.
Honestly, the ‘g’ irks me in a way that I’m growing to appreciate.
I think it looks nice with a subtle retro feel to it. Not sure why but the rounded E are part.
Hello, we is sé SUSE from sé beschauliche little town of Nurenburg (plz don’t say asserwise! we are a world concern but we is tru 2 our /root) and we creating one more me-2 1-off project. Now, only a decay-de after sé Oohbantoo we has a type faish to. Now we is off to ripping of sé Red Head OS agains, because we is effraid to compete wizz Microsoft. After awll wot if sey log us out of Ashure? We go hart after the IBM. Plz accepts our Right to Win in sé offer-support-for-forenn-OS space, we is only here to help you get rit of log-in effects.🚀
Tf are you talking about?
I think… he’s trying to make fun of SUSE. But that one was difficult message to read…
Hm… Reading the names of Ivo and Spencer triggered something in me. There are good people there too. These two are pretty obnoxious. Granted, the mock-German is ill-fitting for the two though, with one of them being an American, the other a Bulgarian(?) living in Germany.
Gripes. Used to be an employee there.
I am starting to understand why.
That’s a rather uncaritative interpretation of my words. I left of my own accord.
Unfortunately, I fell out of the corpo brainwash cycle a bit before that.
What did you do? I must admit with the new CEO we got a couple of extraordinary morons steering the ship.
In order to not fully dox myself, I’ll just say the following: I came after Nils and left before Melissa did. Around early 2021, I found myself suddenly thrown in Ivo/April calls and feeling tremendously unhappy, not just because Pandemic Year II sucked in general and team dynamic went to shit but also because these marketing folks were discussing not-so-grand grand ideas and blatant GDPR violations while sending literal hundreds of inexplicable 👏 emojis into the chat window of every call.
