The panel, made up of four former senior law enforcement and government officials, also warned ofĀ another catastrophic security lapseĀ if the Secret Service does not immediately undertake āfundamental reform.ā
āThe Secret Service has become bureaucratic, complacent, and static,āĀ the panel wrote in a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who overseesĀ the organization.
