Just felt like getting to know our little community a bit better.
I got up extra early today to take my husband to the airport this morning after his flight was rebooked from yesterday evening. He’s headed to Germany for a big birthday celebration with his peers from growing up. I think it’s super cool they are all still friends with each other!
I’m also working from home using a computer that unfortunately isn’t running Arch, but if it were running Arch, I would definitely tell you.

I mostly spent today being tired at work after getting sunburned yesterday and having one too many beers. Nothing too awful, though.
This weekend I might play around with LlamaIndex (in Arch of course) or attempt once again to get a comfy Neovim setup.
The heat is so bad here, and I’m doing concrete work outside, so the past few nights I’ve been working at night. Last night I mixed and poured 50 bags (4,000 pounds or two tons dry weight) by myself. Was working until past midnight.
Today I’m totally dead, made myself sick. Could barely get out of bed up until an hour ago (3pm).
Currently using my arch based workstation PC to watch YouTube videos on my TV.
In about 2 hours I’m leaving to meet some friends to play DnD

Oh believe me i know! I downed two servings of Pedialyte before I went to bed lol.
And a bit of both, Im living in a friend’s cabin he just bought, and as long as I’m fixing the place up I don’t pay rent or utilities!!

I just installed the latest Thunder update (a cross-plattform Lemmy app using flutter) and am now able to create posts and comments :D

I am hoping to have the time to install Arch on my 2 new SSDs I got (one for laptop that I got because the original was too small and one for my desktop because the SSD that I use there currently has weird issues) over the weekend so I can also finally say that I use Arch btw and not just Arch based btw. I have no idea when I will find the time for it but I gotta do it half for the memes and half because I am sick of Manjaros BS.

It went well. Got it short on the sides and a bit longer on the top. Not sure what its called this style. Its going to take me a few days to get used to myself even though i like it :D

It was just getting too much. Too much trouble with cleaning the apartment, too much trouble in the shower/drying, too much trouble when it would get loose from the elastic and get all in my face… Just oo much xD

Depending on how long it is and how long you’ve had it (time/effort invested in growing it out), then it might make more sense to shorten it for the summer and let it grow back later. shrug

got a gum graft a couple days ago, everyone told me the roof of my mouth where the donor tissue came from would be where it hurts but that’s fine. my gums feel like they’ve been stabbed by an exacto knife vertically so i’m sitting here at work, regretting leaving my WFH cake IT job for better pay while sipping on ice water that tastes like a swimming pool hoping the swelling goes down or my face starts to go numb like the rest of me is inside.
My periodontist uses windows btw, probaby why it hurts so much.
