Imagine being able to travel back in time and have a conversation with your younger self. What words of wisdom or advice would you share? What experiences or lessons learned would you want them to know about?

I’ve always had this answer for any of these kinds of questions. I would never say anything to them, but I’d give them a USB flashdrive. In it are a series of documents and pictures. They’re of things of importance that I’ve listed. Things of what to do and not do, people to meet earlier than later and things I’ve noted.

    • you’re not being silly, you are a woman and these kinds of thoughts aren’t just for “real trans people” (and also you are a real trans person)
    • you need to start giving more thought to how your words and actions affect people, or you’re going to hurt someone you love
    • I know those two nuggets of info are hard to hear and are quite heavy, but I promise that observing them and taking them seriously will mean you live an immeasurably happier life
    • buy a bunch of bitcoin with your pocket money. Sell it on December 16th 2016, buy as much as you can with what you got on January 26th 2019. Sell it all on March 13th 2021. Donate half of what you made to stonewall, and use the rest for the house you’ll be trying to buy.

Take a hard Look at your partner, this is the best you’ll ever get. Dont fuck it up. Listen to them and go to fucking therapy.

Caring what others think is a waste of your time. Always trust your gut, it was always the best option.

I would probably tell myself not to bother with college and suggest I go to a technical school instead. Apparently degrees aren’t worth jack shit around here.

    Literally nothing.

Give him a high five and tell him to keep doing what he is doing. Since we invent the time machine, I wouldn’t want to fuck that up. Really I wouldn’t even visit.

I would however be expecting a visit from my future self, to get the details on how to solve global warming and a bunch of other issues.

    You’re trans, idiot.

Buy Bitcoin then use your fortune to help fix global warming or something else for the good of humanity.

Are you me? It would have been so much easier if I’d come out like, 10yrs ago. At least I would have been on my parents insurance.

I’ll throw in “stop being afraid of the furry community you fucking dumbass; they’re a hell of a lot nicer than your current “”“friends””“”.

      Save as much money as possible;

Short AA at the end of Aug 2001; you’ll know when to cover.

      In Oct 2001 buy AAPL

In 2008 buy bitcoin… keep buying, and WRITE DOWN YOUR PASSWORDS, until it hits $100. Don’t worry about it; just do it.

You aren’t a fuckup because you weren’t smart enough to protect yourself from getting hurt by others. Your parents are supposed to be looking out for you and they are not. They are to blame, not you.

I’m not sure I would. If I could have avoided the bullshit or done the things that would have optimized my income and wealth, I don’t think I would have ended up where I am now. The risk doesn’t seem worth it, I would be a completely different person with a completely different life.
