Summary

Democrats are grappling with Donald Trump’s decisive victory, which included popular vote support and wins in traditionally Democratic regions.

Analysts suggest that Trump’s appeal lies less in specific policies and more in his embodiment of resentment and populist anger.

While some blame Harris’s choice of running mate, media influence, or Biden’s timing in stepping aside, many argue that Trump’s support reflects a desire for his “tough-guy” rhetoric and promises of “social revenge.”

Despite the potential consequences, Trump’s supporters expect him to hurt others without affecting them.

Trump’s second term will likely bring about the destruction of the rule of law and the expansion of his power, leaving voters to confront the reality of his actions.

Look. I voted for trump on Nov 5th. It’s the 7th now so that’s the past and I said I’m sorry. You can’t bring up my past decisions and hold them against me. People can grow, learn, and change. You have to forgive and forget and if you don’t then you are the problem and need therapy.

    It’s basic cheater logic

What is so infuriating is that they feel entitled to this kind of mollycoddling for their own bad choices. Even if they do it again.

No one should criticize these special snowflakes. I even had one dumbass tell me, “I know you don’t like Trump, but I had to vote for him, because Hollywood and the liberals make me feel bad as a white cishet male” or words more or less to that effect. This was by way of “apologizing”, mind you, the very week of donnie’s “win” in 2016.

First of all…Hollywood? WTAF? Do these dipshits really think that it is the President’s job to govern Hollywood and how they make white males feel? Yes, Hollywood has been rather cloying at times in their sanctimony, but JFC, you don’t have to consume their product for any reason, wokeness considerations aside. Voting for the likes of donnie is not going to do shit in that regard - if anything, Hollywood is only likely to get more obnoxious in their sanctimony and generally shitting on the majority of their audience and then wagging their finger at everyone when they have another multi-million dollar failure on their hands. Why these man-children cannot grow up and realize that Hollywood is not really capable of doing anything to them if they don’t buy their products, I will never understand.

Secondly, if liberals make him feel bad somehow, his response is to vote for one of the most corrupt, inept, and stupid people that has ever run for the office? I just can’t understand this at all.

He didn’t think donnie would do anything for him. It was a revenge vote for some perceived slights from “Hollywood” and liberals.

Sorry, advocate for the devil; you’ve had 8 years to grow and reflect on the first presidency. That defense doesn’t work twice!
