    BTW the title should be

POV: someone doesn’t know how to use POV

You obviously know how to use POV ;)

Back in my day we used to make “tfw” (that feel when) or “mfw” (my face when) posts that rarely if ever contained a face or a feeling

rarely if ever contained a face or a feeling

We even added “> mfw I have no face” to address that if we felt particularly quirky !

For anyone needing a bit of whimsy in their life: read acronyms as if they’re normal words. “Miffwuh I have no face”

Sorry but you just activated my pedant mode…

adjusts glasses anime style um akshually, that is the definition of an acronym, otherwise it is just an initialism.

The fact that it’s all rehearsed and refined and outlined and stage-managed only makes it slightly less bonkers. This is the face these people are CHOOSING to present to the world.

Gets repetitive after a while, though.

The meme implies that you are the shown kid, so of course it’s not proper use, you should be shown whatever that kid is seeing. His point of view, a 1st person view. It’s not that hard.

From what I’ve seen when it’s the pov of an animate object you use its pov, so this could be the tvs pov. If it’s a person you use theirs. Memeing is serious business so I am glad you asked

the pov format is inherently flawed because it’s almost never actually from your “point of view”
