That… actually doesn’t answer it. If the games I paid for only exist on my hard drive and not on any store… what happens when the drive eventually fails?
They stated that you will still be able to redownload games you’ve already purchased. You just won’t be able to make new purchases. It’s kind of weird that the original article left that part out considering it’s what most people would care about.

It’s not weird. People being angry and not getting the whole story is how their article gets shared and generated clicks.
