Reported an issue with the name. I know I’m shouting into the void on this but a small poke in the eye makes me feel better.
Today I’ve officially made organic maps my primary. I’m gonna try to make it work.
This really is the dumbest timeline. I can’t even make up satire shit that is more wild than what is now.

Well, yeah, because the United States Geographical Service is the source of truth for geographical names. No surprise Google and Apple follow it. There’s a little more breakdown than that, but that’s the gist of it.

I’m an American and it still says the proper name for me too.
For me it shows Golf of Mexico until I zoom in.

In the EU, they still show Mexico, while google shows both names:
Unlike Google they still have a “report issue” button active.
