They have slid from “some of these people have a criminal record,” which is designed to get people to associate immigrants with criminality, to “they’re the worst of the worst,” which pushes it further without making any specific claim. And then you get idiots like Noem claiming they’re all hardened criminals when clearly they’re just scooping up whoever they can grab. Don’t believe a word of it.
