Trump used his Truth Social platform on Wednesday to lash out at Zelenskyy and call the Ukrainian a “dictator without elections” who has “done a terrible job” defending his country. Ukraine hasn’t had elections since martial law was put in place after Russia invaded its territory three years ago and launched a deadly bombing campaign that persists today.
Trump’s broadside followed Zelenskyy’s comment that the U.S. president was being influenced by Russian disinformation after Trump falsely claimed that Ukraine started the war with Russia.
I didn’t think I would ever say this, but here it is: I wish that modern Republicans thought more about what Reagan would have done.
(Eisenhower would be an even better Republican to remember now. He would be ashamed to see his party and this country as they are today.)
I’m pretty sure Biden was to the right of Reagan and I think his status as a GOP icon has all but evaporated with Trump in the picture. Half of his base is too young to even remember him and the other half has had their brains turned to mush with all the right wing propaganda.
Eisenower was the last decent republican.
As much as he disliked the military-industrial complex, he also perpetuated the nuclear arms race that began with Truman and Stalin.
So I don’t know that I would call him decent either.
Reagan was the worst president in US history prior to Trump.
its well known he had early ons-et alzheimers, it was nancy and the cabinet that was running the show.
