I think the game should really prevent you from placing objects on walkable tiles instead of having them be deleted when NPCs walk on it. It’s not intuitive at all. What do you think about this?

I wonder what happens with the mini shipping box as well. Its description says that you can place it wherever you want but I feel like it’s just going to be destroyed.

    Tbh it’s a yes and no for me. That things just get destroyed is not the best solution, 100%. But only preventing it on walkable tiles would result in a huge mess with what can be placed where I think and that just looks janky then. Personally I would be all out for a “no placing things outside of the farm” rule. Like obviously a few exeptions when its story relevant but otherwise I just don’t see the point.

    One of the things on my wishlist for Stardew Valley version 10 or whatever, is an NPC overhaul to take them off rails and make them more Skyrim like. For example, they have their schedules but the rest of the pathfinding etc is up to them. So that they can walk around objects and maybe do unexpected shit sometimes.
