Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred is considering a petition to have Pete Rose posthumously removed from Major League Baseball’s ineligible list, according to a person familiar with the situation.
Actually, he did spend some time in jail after pleading guilty to tax evasion. Seems like the guy Trump would want to pardon. Although it seems silly to pardon someone who plead guilty.
Pete does belong in the Hall of Fame, but that’s besides the point. His tax charge isn’t what was keeping him out.
Pardon him from what exactly? He was never convicted of any crime.

Actually there’s an accusation that may have to do with why trump likes the guy (even if he wasn’t charged for it)
