    The head lights themselves help illustrate the problem too.

    The popup headlights were first put in because the NTSB only allowed 7 inch sealed round headlamps until 1974. Car makers wanted to make cars without flat faces and that’s that they came up with.

    After stunts like popup head lamps the NTSB relented in 75 and allowed 4 whole choices of self sealed bulbs sealed headlamps. Round or rectangle.

    Then the age of deregulation was ushered in the 80s with that monstrosity being the inevitable outcome. Because deregulation fuels enshittification.

      *The Swasticar’s definition of “harsh conditions” is anything other than a hermetically sealed display room. Placing it in harsh conditions voids the warranty.
