Your system’s display driver does not meet Proton’s current minimum requirements! You may experience crashes, slow performance, or graphical degradations. You may still submit reports and there is still value in your contributions, but your reports will show your graphics drivers in red and will not be counted toward aggregate ratings for games. Please update your drivers!/>

I just ran garuda update for the second time now today, it updated some nvidia things too, yet all above issues persist. I have steam, proton, protonge, proton experimental, wine, dxvk, vulkan, everything installed. I can’t install newer drivers manually, i get an error about conflicts and installation gets aborted (bauh). What does proton require, or my gpu is simply too old for it? or am i doing something wrong?

According to the logs, it’s trying to use your laptop’s integrated Intel chip instead of your nvidia GPU. You’ll have to set it to use your actual GPU, not sure where to do that in Garuda Linux though.

I’m not seeing any in the docs, but it might be possible to use a .cfg file. No clue where the docs for those are, though.

Again, I’m not familiar with how this works. But here is a video that might help. I’m seeing it says no nvidia module. You might have to install the DKMS version and recompile the kernel.

i had to reinstall nvidia drivers, no need to recompile the kernel. if you are thinking about mkinitcpio -P, that is not allowed in Garuda

EDIT: Thank you for all tips, it has been solved. The solution was to reinstall nvidia drivers, reboot, and force umu proton for the game. pls share, so others can solve it more quickly
