Unpopular opinion: They need to do cats next. People should not allow (pet) cats outside, and feral cats need to be gotten rid of. Certain places in Australia have resorted to paying people to hunt cats.

They’re not native predators so good luck to them.
There’s still a lot of work to be done (seeing the wallabies spread further north and south every year is always worrying) but it’s so worth it! Been good seeing the anti-1080 crowd gradually falling into irrelevance over the past decade or so.
Always cool to see Rakiura shouted out, seeing a bunch of wild kiwi in the bush and feeding kākā from my motel room was an experience I’ll never forget!
