    It’s not garbage, it’s just broken. And when Lemmy 1.0 rolls out it will stop working once and for all, I think. And it’s really sad because it’s so hard to quit using it.

    But yes, not seeing any comments when browsing local instance on Sync is extremely annoying.

      I’m using Lemmynade (which also will brake). So many great projects will go to waste, just because “Lemmy got better”. I will see, which apps will make upgrade for Lemmy 1.0

        I’m learning to use Summit at the moment. It’s got potential even though there are some things I miss. But the dev is very active.

        Lemmy updating is a good thing though, even if it means some apps with absentee developers will be left by the wayside.

          Summit is a good replacement. It has definite quirks, but the general usability I expect from Sync was faithfully cloned.

            The more I use it the more things I find, but I’m already wary of spamming the Summit community with feedback posts. But it’s definitely the alternative I like best already, and it’s only getting better judging by the roadmap.
