She was fired for not reporting to a salaried manager. She reported it to her supervisor, but not the “manager”. It is like they don’t even have a chain of command.

I am so sick of these weaselly piece of shit corporations that shit on their workers for no reason. Right to work has to go away and we need real protections for all workers. These protections must be codified into law as unions are not enough anymore.

A male customer followed her into the restroom

Huh, almost seems like the hysteria that trans folk were doing it just to go into women’s bathrooms was totally bullshit. Who could have possibly predicted that?

it is unbelievable to me that women are now more unsafe than they ever have been because of anti-trans hysteria. these people want to “protect women” but have only made a non-existent problem real. way to fucking go.

She should definitely sue them for every penny she can get, and the man who followed her into the ladies restroom and threatened to assault her should be arrested

He did assault her. Assault is the threat of harm. He should be charged with it.

Oh hmm. It’s almost as though we should let people peep and poop. Also, just pointing out, in this situation as in nearly all situations ever, it was not a trans woman but a cis man who did some shit.

Yeah it’s super fucked that a cis man felt emboldened enough to enter a woman’s restroom to verbally abuse a woman under the rhetoric about keeping men out of women’s restrooms. It’s so patently absurd. If this isn’t enough to show that anti-trans rhetoric was never about keeping some women safe, I don’t know what else it can take.

Haha yeah, I didn’t think of it that way when I typed “peep”, but you’re right, that’s the weird spectre or boogeyman they think they are preventing but instead become.

I’m really not interested in who is peeing in the stall next to me.

In addition, now tall women are trans? My mother-in-law is 6ft 1in tall.

      Tall

      Big hands

      Square jaw

      Adam’s apple

Basically any physical feature that the transphobes associate with masculinity/being male will get cis women accused of being trans.

I get the vibe that this guy is turned on by trans women. I have little doubt that he watches trans porn. He was power tripping

Sounds like someone higher up doesn’t like the decision or doesn’t like the bad publicity.

"Following the backlash, Newsweek shared that a Walmart spokesperson told the news outlet that they want their associates to feel safe and supported and won’t tolerate bullying or threats of violence against them.

The spokesperson also said, “We’ve reviewed the situation and will be addressing it internally. We’ve also made multiple attempts to invite Ms. Davis to return to work, with back pay,” on March 27. "

It’s the bad publicity. She said someone on their “ethics hotline” hung up on her when she tried to report it. Half the reasons these hotlines exist is to prevent lawsuits so you better believe those folks are trained up on what Walmart considers an issue.
