A few months ago I landed my first IT job after years working in retail, the first time my boss saw me coding he said “we’re not paying you enough”, got up, went to HR and got me a 10% raise, I feel this as the new guy.
I work at the only ski resort in my country, it’s a pretty good place, and the whole team is just the boss and me, and I actually get funding for projects as long as I can provide a proof of concept!
And yeah nah,they’re not hiring, at least not for IT.
