    We’re proper fucked.

Edit: I got my MMR vaccine as a kid because it was required to be able to go to public school. I saw a post recently that if asbestos was still used in construction, and lawmakers tried to make it illegal, there would be a pro asbestos movement. That’s where we’re at.

So…about that. Your example has actually happened, and you’ll absolutely know who it is, unfortunately…

I got an MMR shot last month because I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. It was easy to schedule and I didn’t even owe a copay.

I got the shot as a child, but that was decades ago and there’s a chance immunity wanes after 15 years. You can have titers done to make sure you still have immunity, but just getting the shot was easier for me. I’ll have titers done at my next regular blood draw.

Here’s what we know: you can thank the republikkkans and their backwater stupidity for all the misery and death. As usual.

It’s really strange that measles outbreaks are almost exclusively in states that voted for Trump. God must be punishing them for their sins. /s
