Service complaints aside, one of the top concerns for anyone who uses OC Transpo is up-to-date service info and departure times. Some great news from OC Transpo today: riders in the Ottawa area can use the upgraded version of the popular Transit app, for free.

Was going to ask, anyone try this and compare with Bus Buddy? Is it any better?

BB works just fine for me re: live arrival estimates (within the usual ‘add 2-3 minutes to your expectation’ threshold), but curious if anyone’s noted any real differences that are improvements on BB.

Transit has a pretty slick UI and uses user data to track busses without GPS! I like it and simped out the $25 to get the pro version before OC did this
