    My husband started playing an instrument during the pandemic and offspring songs were some of the first songs he learned. Because of that, whenever he discovers a new song with the standard four chords, it gets compared to an offspring song (typically, the kids aren’t alright).

    It’s weird because I’ve now internalized the offspring as the progenitors of this arrangement of chords, which is not even close to true.
