Murder charges can proceed against jailers in Fulton inmate’s death

Antonio May, 32, died after being beaten, pepper sprayed, and repeatedly shocked with a Taser at the Fulton County Jail, according to the indictment.

In this 2015 family photo, Antonio May poses with his sons Za’Kobe and Jordan Rickerson. In September 2018, May was pronounced dead after being repeatedly shocked with a Taser in the Fulton County jail. On Nov. 16, 2021, six deputies were indicted on five counts, including felony murder.
