I’m guessing that the reason why they like it is because it isn’t windows and they don’t probably don’t have to fuck with it too much. If they used Linux then they’d have way more control and could probably make it Apple-like, but they’d have to fuck around a bunch to get it there. As many issues as Apple may have, their OS and hardware is the closest to “it just works” as you get nowadays. The absurdly long battery life and the fact that it produces very little heat are probably huge bonuses too.
