I recently got my hands on a TP Link AX5400, and for my surprise, there’s an option in the router configuration to make it also act as a OpenVPN server. It’s been some time I’ve been wondering if I should pay for a VPS to act as VPN server or go with port forwarding + reverse proxy to expose my home servers, but with this router configuration, it makes things a lot easier for me.

My question is, would you trust configuring your VPN server directly in the router? Are there any security implications to this?
