Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!

Anyone can make the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!

Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.

So, how’s it going?

Spent the weekend tidying the house to make it nice for when its actual owner arrived back. Very tired and slept 12 hours but it was a success.

Trying to help the poor lemon tree, who split badly in the last storm and has borer. Only one more step to go for now which is wax in the holes, but next winter I hope we can cut the rot out.

Beautiful day today here. Not sure why but it always surprises me that blackbirds can have such beautiful songs.

I guess when I lived in Aucks they were busy imitating car alarms and stuff, but here in provincial suburbia our local pair sound lovely.

That lemon tree is lucky to have you! If it was at my house it would be dead by now 🙁

Birds here make sounds that are very similar to the timer on our oven going off. I guess we might have trained them to sing like that 😄

Something living nearby has learned to imitate the sound of the alarm attached to the SOs motorbike and it’s been driving him nuts, lol.

If it’s been going off enough to teach the birds then the alarm has probably been driving the neighbours nuts!

Funny enough it just goes off when he deactivates it, I guess the birds are just really quick learners.
