Is there a way to view another instances local communities without going to the website? It would be much more convenient than going to that sites community page and copying the link to your own instance.
(at least partially) if you subscribe to a community on a different instance you will see it in your “Subscribe” thread with an indication of the source instance
Not as far as I know. But you can view all communities of all instances here, if that helps
I think you can navigate to a community, and then see them in the sidebar (haven’t checked). Viewing them in the community tab is a recent issue created on GitHub: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/3105

The whole instances shown in the “communities” that next to your instance name above. I subscribe from there.
I think those only show communities that you or fellow users on your instance have searched. Other than its local communities.
