Needless to say, we weren’t allowed to see the apartment until after the lease was signed. We kept finding random bugs crawling on the walls and stuff but didn’t think too much of it. I started noticing that the bugs were all similar looking and was worried about an infestation. After 2 minutes of searching, we killed countless bugs and noticed they were coming from the direction of the refrigerator. Sure enough we look above the refrigerator and saw cockroaches crawling on the walls, we opened the cabinets above the refrigerator and found dead cockroaches that had been painted over.

I’m so over this, I just got back from a deployment and was excited to start my life and now I’m stuck in a lease with a cockroach infestation and can’t afford to break it.

Not to mention, the apartment looks absolutely NOTHING like the model they showed us, my roommate and I got completely scammed and I feel like the next 12 months of my life are going to be really shitty.

We plan on calling an exterminator tomorrow but the bugs are just one of many issues.
