Hey, so, if you understand that, why do you waste so much effort trying to push people away from Biden, rather than directing that effort at something that’s actually helpful, like increasing awareness of the actual issues, lobbying the government to pay attention to the important ones, or advocating for candidates you agree with? You spend an awful lot of time on completely counter-productive action, unless you want to elect Trump.

unless you want to elect Trump.

This is exactly what they want. It’s the same blatant playbook we saw last election: pretend to be a concerned leftist while doggedly attacking the Democratic candidate for supposed weaknesses in order to depress the Democratic vote and let Trump win.

The only question is whether OP is a Republican or a Russian, either way their M.O. is the same.

The Democrats and Biden have been pushing progressives and activists away once they were no longer necessary after 2020.

It’s Bidens jib to convince us bruh not the other way around.

If Trump ends up winning the election, that’s the sort of apathetic take that will have made it possible. It’s great to have that self-righteous ‘They need to earn my vote!’ attitude, and if you want to flex those muscles in the primary, by all means! But if you don’t vote for the democratic nominee in the fall, you are effectively helping Trump win.

Look, I dislike Biden as much as the next person, I get it, but it’s not about that. I’m not voting for Biden, I’m voting against Trump, and if your vote isn’t for someone opposing him who actually has a chance of winning, you’re not accomplishing that.

It’s great to have that self-righteous “we don’t have to earn your vote” attitude, and if you want to fuck around and find out in a presidential election, well, by all means. Just look at how great that strategy worked in '16!

I’m voting for Biden, but the democratic messaging has got me concerned. It reminds me a LOT of '16 where they didn’t have any good arguments for HRC, no good policies to get their voters excited, just $10,000/seat Goldman Sachs dinners and “man, just look at how awful Trump is.” They did that shit on purpose, they were counting on Trump being more unpalatable than Hillary, and it completely blew up in their face. It’s bewildering that we’re only eight years down the road, facing down the same guy, and some fucking ding dong in the Biden camp has apparently said “well, gosh, maybe it’ll work this time.”

Isn’t ‘fucking around and finding out’ in a presidential election literally exactly what I’m advocating against?

I’m with you, we’re arguing for the same side. I’d love a better candidate, too, but it’s pretty clear at this point that we aren’t getting one, so all we can do is make the best of what we’ve got and speak out against these idiots trying to sabotage things even further.
